Which city? hides two cities each day, both from the same continent and drawn only from national capitals and each country's biggest cities. You get six guesses for each, and every miss colours your letters, reveals a new clue and shows how far and in which direction the answer lies on a spinning globe. It's free to play in your browser, with two city puzzles a day and no account needed. There is no unlimited mode: once today's puzzle is done, the next one comes tomorrow.
How to play Which city?
- Open Daily puzzle 1 or 2; the row of tiles shows how many letters the city name has.
- Type a city of that length; tiles turn colour for letters in the right spot, in the name but elsewhere, or not in it at all.
- Each wrong guess unlocks a clue and plots the straight-line distance and compass direction from your guess on the globe.
- After three misses you can reveal the country's flag, and a list of cities with the right number of letters is always available.
Tips
- Use English spellings, such as Munich rather than München, or the guess will not be accepted.
- Check the day's continent and the letter count first; together they cut the pool to a short list.
- Treat your first guess as a probe: a city near the middle of the continent gives the most useful distance and direction.
- Tick Hide hints for a tougher run once you know the big cities well.
We never post the answer to today's puzzle.
