DrivedleDaily Road-Mile Estimates Between American Towns

Drivedle shows two American towns and their straight-line distance, then asks for the miles you would actually drive. Over five daily pairs, you enter low and high estimates and try to trap the real route distance inside a narrow range, with three tries per pair. It's free to play in your browser, with five town pairs a day and no account needed. There is no unlimited mode: once today's puzzle is done, the next one comes tomorrow.

How to play Drivedle

  1. Read the two towns and the straight-line distance supplied for the pair.
  2. Enter a low and a high estimate for the road distance, in miles.
  3. If the distance falls outside your range, use the longer-or-shorter hint and try again, up to three times.
  4. After each pair, review the route and the obstacle that makes it longer; finish five pairs for a score out of 500.

Tips

  • Use the straight-line distance as a floor, then account for water, mountains and sparse road crossings.
  • A very wide range is safe but scores poorly; narrow it only as far as your geographic confidence allows.
