Tintdrop gives everyone the same 12x12 board of colored tiles each day, with your ink starting in the top-left corner. Picking a color repaints your area and absorbs every touching tile of that color, and the aim is to cover the board in par moves or fewer. It's free to play in your browser, with one daily board plus a harder 16x16 one and no account needed. There is also an unlimited mode, so you can keep playing after the daily puzzle.
How to play Tintdrop
- Your region starts as the single tile in the outlined top-left corner.
- Tap one of the six color buttons (or press keys 1 to 6) to turn your whole region that color.
- Every adjacent tile of the chosen color joins your region, so it grows with each move.
- Fill the entire board; matching par earns a star and beating it earns a shining one.
Tips
- Pick the color that absorbs the most tiles now, but also look at which colors that opens up next.
- Push toward the far corners early, since stray pockets left behind cost extra moves at the end.
- Turn on the symbol setting if colors are hard to tell apart: each color has its own mark.
- Practice boards in three sizes allow undo, which is a good way to learn efficient routes.
