Headcount opens a new party every night at 11 PM Eastern, and each of its five rooms asks you to read the crowd: slide to a percentage, rank answers by popularity, guess an average or spot the least-picked option. The answers come from the players themselves, because everyone signs a guestbook question on the way out that turns up in the next night's rooms. It's free to play in your browser, with one party (five rooms) a night and no account needed. There is no unlimited mode: once today's puzzle is done, the next one comes tomorrow.
How to play Headcount
- Enter tonight's party; it opens at 11 PM Eastern.
- In each of the five rooms, guess how the guests answered: a percentage split, a ranking, an average or the least-picked answer.
- Each room scores up to 20 points, so a perfect night is 100.
- Before leaving, answer the guestbook question yourself; it shows up in tomorrow's game.
Tips
- Think about who plays a late-night browser game, not about what you would answer.
- Splits are rarely as lopsided as they feel; pull extreme guesses toward the middle.
- The least-picked answer is often the odd, joke option, but not always: check whether it's merely unpopular or actually reasonable.
We never post the answer to today's puzzle.
