✓ Played todayChronosDaily History Guessing Game: Name It in 7 Hints
Chronos, from the makers of STRANDED and played at dailychronos.com, hides one historical event, invention, discovery or person each day, and you see its category from the start. Seven hints come one at a time from hardest to easiest, each with a 25-second clock, and every wrong guess opens the next one; the fewer hints you need, the better your score. It's free to play in your browser, with one puzzle a day and no account needed. There is no unlimited mode: once today's puzzle is done, the next one comes tomorrow.
How to play Chronos
- Check the category: event, invention or discovery, or person.
- Read the first, hardest hint and type a guess within 25 seconds.
- A wrong guess opens the next hint and tells you whether you were close, in the right era, or way off.
- Solve it in as few of the seven hints as you can, then share your result.
Tips
- Use the category to narrow things before you guess: it rules out most of history.
- A "close" answer usually means the right subject but too broad, so get more specific.
- Common names work: you don't need the formal title of an event to score it.
We never post the answer to today's puzzle.
